Pittsburgh: Optimus Technologies, an advanced biodiesel engine technology company, has announced the execution of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mitsui & Co., Ltd., a diversified trading and investment company with operations spanning nearly 62 countries.
Under the terms of the agreement, Mitsui has secured exclusive distribution rights for Optimus Technologies’ Vector System and related biodiesel solutions across key Asian markets, including Japan, India, and ASEAN countries.

The MOU strengthens the existing collaborative relationship between the two organisations and underscores their shared commitment to delivering scalable, practical decarbonization technologies at a critical juncture in the global energy transition.

As industries across the world reassess timelines for electrification and hydrogen adoption, fleet operators are seeking commercially viable low-carbon alternatives that can be deployed immediately.
Through this expanded partnership, Optimus Technologies and Mitsui are positioned to address this demand by enabling organisations across Asia to make measurable progress toward their carbon reduction objectives.

The partnership reflects increasing global demand for low-carbon liquid fuels and reinforces biodiesel’s role as a scalable and cost-effective pathway to decarbonization. It also further strengthens Optimus Technologies’ position as a global leader in 100% biodiesel (B100) fuel systems and technology.
The Optimus Vector System is a bolt-on solution that enables diesel engines to operate on B100 fuel, delivering near-zero carbon emissions without compromising engine performance or reliability.

The system intelligently manages and conditions biodiesel to ensure optimal combustion across varying operating conditions. It can be retrofitted onto existing heavy-duty vehicles or integrated into new builds through OEM partnerships.
With more than 150 million real-world miles logged by heavy-duty trucks equipped with the Vector System, the technology has demonstrated its ability to significantly reduce emissions while maintaining operational efficiency.
Through this collaboration, Optimus Technologies and Mitsui aim to scale biodiesel-powered decarbonization solutions globally, unlocking new opportunities for fleets and shippers seeking to reduce emissions while meeting the economic and operational requirements of heavy-duty transportation.
